Just a thought here guys, if FOTF is not going to be able to send something in, I have an Austin Mini Van I had opened up a while back, it has fte 2's on it already, all I have to do is run a screw down through the rivit hole and it is ready to go, we can call it my friends handle (medders501) so that there will be 16 entries and also eliminate any needs for byes.
I was building it for another series, but it could be used here, weighs in at 36 grams at the moment. I would like to end up with this one back after the series is run. The winner could use the empty spot on the display trophy to put their own favorite casting in. And, if by chance the Austin Mini Van won the whole deal, it would not count, it would go to the next one in line to keep things fair all the way around. This would just be a filler car of sorts to mainly eliminate byes. I can ship it out overnight tommorrow. Let me know what you all think about it, for I would like to see someone win a 16 car display.

Another thought if no FOTF. Each host could maybe fill in the 16th spot with a stocker 40 grams or less, and just call it stokcar or something like that, a different stocker by each host for no byes.
HOPEFULLY... FOTF will drill some rivits and get something in the running.
I'm off for the night, will check tomorrow and see what all of you guys think about either option.
I guess my personal opinion is: This challenge is for builders/customizers/racers. Rather than have a space filler, I'd leave the spot open. It is a double elimination tournement bye rounds will be a bummer, but it is what it is.
