"Builders Cup Light"
I sent a familiar car out yesterday.
What, another retread? First NASCAR and now the Builder's Cup, sounds like somebody's been too busy to build lately. At least you're entering though -winning the trophy won't mean as much if I didn't have to take you down to get it

Overconfidence . . . I like it!
Arrived Today:
Team Half Fast
Weber Cabin Racing
Rally Case racing
So, if I'm counting correctly, that's 12 cars so far. Mine should be there by Monday, and I just saw a picture of Daniel's finished paint -it's a metallic spectraflame blue '67 Camaro and fast too!!
Just waiting on AMH and FotF for our sweet 16. Plans for the trophy are nearly complete. Once I know how many cars will adorn it, I can start the actual build.
Yeah Jdc Your Right. Can'T WaitTo See What You Come Up With.
RACE HOSTS!!!!!Please read up on double elimination tournements, and how they work/are run...etc
I just re-read this thread and there is no mention of points for this three race series.
IMO a 'points' system' needs to be decided before the racing begins.
I Would Say Since It's Double Elimination PoinS Can Be Given For Every Race That Is Won. Like 2 Points For Every Race Won. I Think It Will Keep ThE Standings Close And Keep Scoring Simple And Easy.
The problem with using that point system in Double Eliminations is that a car knocked out in the first round and making it to the Championship Round through the Loser's Bracket to finish second overall will earn more points than a car finishing first overall through the Winner's Bracket.
Ok I See that. Maybe 2 In Winners And 1 In Losers?

I'm all ears for a soulution to points for a double elimination tournement???
Here's my suggestion.
The top four in a race are a given, fifth and sixth are tied, then all other finishers receive 1 point.
We've used this system in the past without incident (when the cars were advanced as they should have been).
POINTS
DISTRIBUTION
POS-------PTS
1----------- 6
2----------- 5
3----------- 4
4----------- 3
5----------- 2
6----------- 2
others------1
Here's a link to one of the series we used this point system in:
