Car Wars
Saturday, January 20th, 2018
With the new Star Wars movie coming out it seemed only fitting to celebrate with a Hot Wheels race! The last few years Mattel has come out with a line of Star Wars Character cars. That is what we will be racing this month. There have been a few other lines of Star Wars cars lately, like those based on ships, etc. But this month just the Character cars. Who will be the fastest? Vader, Luke, Yoda? Who will you race?
Cars will race on the Diecast 64 four lane downhill gravity track.
Cars may be modified or stock.
Weight: 57 grams or less.
Length: must be 3.75 inches or less
Height: must be 2 inches or less
Width: must fit on Hot Wheels orange track
Dry lubes only
Racers may enter up to two cars. There will be a $1 entrance fee per car.
Races will be videoed and posted online.
Cars due January 20th, 2018. Racing will start the following week. Video and results will be posted the following Saturday, January 27th.
This race is part of the 2018 Diecast 64 points series.

Got my Flying Colors cars sent off to C10's today, so I could piddle around and plan some builds out for the start of the new racing year...I've got my donor FTE cars picked out for my Star Wars cars...now, may the Force be with Me!!!
...oh yeah, new year same deal...I'm coming for you G-Force!!!
- Great choices, Vader is a solid perfomer — Traction-Event
- It's got that Red Baron appeal for me — LeagueofSpeed
Capt Phasma all set for the re-build
Now I’m looking forward to my capt phasma (my first attempt at modding a hot wheels car) does against yours. Just dry lubed, polished axles and weight added. Didn’t have any FTE wheels to put on it, so it’ll be interesting to see how they stack up against each other. Here’s hoping we meet in one of the heats. Good luck league of speed......
- Let the JB Quick cure for 4+ hrs then pre-graphite speed testing — LeagueofSpeed
- Lookin’ good. Hopefully our cars make it to CCRiders in time. — 41-14
- I usually ship out on Tuesday from NC and they get to Utah on Friday — LeagueofSpeed
- Sent ours out on the 4th ,should be lots of time to get there considering they’re coming from north of the border. — 41-14
You know my cars will show up...looking forward to a great year of racing in Southern Utah!!!
