My Jeep.   '06 Unlimited Rubicon.  Currently considered the Holy Grail of Jeeps.  Not super exotic or expensive,  but fairly rare. Only made for 2 years with less 13,000 sold.  What makes it special is the   long wheelbase , 2-Door configuration. Also, the last year for the venerable 4.0L straight six. And the Rubicon package makes it a true billy goat.  Fully locking DANA 44s front and rear, and extra low, low gear in the transfer case. From the factory!

In 2007 there was a complete redesign and the Unlimited became a 4-door, got wider and heavier and was powered by a V-6. And they've just become bigger, fatter and heavier ever since.

So for true off-roaders,  the 2005-2006 Unlimited Rubicon is the pinacle of off-road jeeps.  Lighter, narrower and more nimble, with the advantage of a longer wheelbase.  I've owned this one since 2008 and have no intention of getting rid of it.

4" Lift and 33" Mickey Thompsons. Sits perfect for me.
