Crew Chief Challenge - Pick-Ups hauling Hot Rods
Posting photos from a phone is do-able but very tedious. Best I've figured out is to see if your photo host has an app, like PhotoBucket or Flickr. Use that app to get your photos uploaded, and from that you should be able to get the link - just like you do on the computer. Then copy/paste that link into your post when posting from your phone.
It's really the same process as with a computer but switching between apps is a pain.
I've been playing around with some ideas that would let you email photos from your phone into a topic or post...still figuring it out but it's definitely something I want to see get added. I find myself taking a lot of pictures when I'm at the store and would love to just be able to mail them to the site, but since I can't they don't usually make it into a post.
Hey Bill,
If you are having trouble posting pics, you could text them to me, and I can post them for you.
I know how busy this time of year can be...I really appreciate you running this race!
Chris
You know the expression that begins with "The best-laid plans"? Yep, so much for my plans for racing Friday night. Unfortunately I now have to run to my daughters house in Maine after work today so racing won't start until sometime Sunday afternoon. I just finished the brackets so I will try to post them this morning.

I pulled the names of everyone that already had to "win to get in" and did a random draw for this weeks 8 win to get in. The remaining spots were decided with another random draw which I think worked out well as it doesn't look like anyone is racing the same person they did in the first two rounds at Smitty's.

So, I got to work early (half day) so I could put the brackets up, and I forgot to bring the Truck brackets. I'll try to get them posted after work before I head north.
Looking forward to the results tonight!
I made a couple of different length sections of drag track...14" and a 25" sections, so I can do different length 'drops' when the cars get here after Christmas!
Fun stuff!
- got any pix of those track sections ? — model40fan
- I can post some...they are just cut and glued back together — 72_Chevy_C10
Haven't had the chance to get on in a few days, so need to catch up with things.
1 Congrats to C10 and FS on your wins last weekend.
2 Smitty, a BIG thank you for putting my truck back together, will have to make sure I get the weld up in the pins. Another thank you for adding the weights to the trucks, and making sure the boys were only hauling sassparilla, instead of the beer in mine. lol It made a big difference for when I looked at the times during the second race the truck pulled a good time, and the little #20 hot rod is doing about how I figured with the skinny's up front.
Looking forward to the next races!
Landon
Here we go! My apology as pics are limited to the final four, final two, the champion, and the bracket. Between the Kodak program and the glitches with the computer and the pop ups there just isn't enough hours in the day to download from the camera and then post them.
An inspection of all the cars only found the weights inside the #28 of UDC to be loose.

Very close racing between these siblings.
In the first race the #42 Altered gets past the #30 by 1/2 car length.
Not wanting to be out done, the #30 Ford then takes the second race, also by 1/2 car length.
The third race is the closest, with the #30 squeaking by, winning by 1/4 car length.
Congrats to C10 and his #30 - 1932 Ford on the win! Also for taking second place with the #42 Altered State!

- when you can afford to have your valve covers GOLD plated, hi-output engine is no problem. — model40fan
- I think that's just Dad's lighting, Smitty...no gold-plated parts here! :) — 72_Chevy_C10
- yep,, it's the lighting. It does look pretty awesome though! — Dadvball
- must be fool's gold... it got me ! — model40fan

Oh yeah. Does anyone know how to post pics here from a phone? I'm having problems with the computer and need to get it fixed. Seems we've picked up an adware bug and the constant pop ups are killing me. I can take pics with my phone, just don't know how to post them here.
