Digital Slot Car Racing
Coby got a HW Video Car and we strapped it onto the digital slot car track--this is the video.
If you haven't checked into slot car racing recently, some of these are now digital. What does that mean?
You can switch from lane to lane.
You cane race up to 6 cars at the same time.
You can set up the cars to be run as a computer. The computer system decides when to change langes.
You can change the speed of the cars to let the little ones race and not wreck too often.
You can set the braking of the cars (quick break or little break--have to back off soon before the turns)
Pit stops--if you have a pit stop piece you can run out of gas and you need to head to pit row to fill up.
You can call a pace car out of the pits to lead the cars around the track when needed.
You can track the laps, times, etc... of the cars.
Its my other hobby with the boys, besides racing the Hot Wheels.

Wow, slot cars have come a long way!
How do you change lanes? Doesn't there still have to be cross-over junctions?
I like the pit stop stuff, adds some strategy to the whole thing.
I really had to drive slowly around the track. When I got it going faster, it was just a blur at times.
There are different track pieces that you can put in that allow you to switch from lane to lane with the push of a button on your controller. Its fun slidding in front of someone else to keep them from passing you on that lane. Some people have cut up the switching pieces and have set up 3-4 lanes and you can switch all over the place on the tracks.

A little easier to follow the action with the slot cars. Those little camera are chaotic on the Hot Wheels tracks.
