Do you get annoyed at comments on YouTube?
When you're watching diecast racing on YouTube, and someone writes a comment that is either insulting or inappropriate towards the channel you are watching/enjoying, do you:
a) Put said person in their place by correcting them or admonishing them?
b) keep scrolling knowing that the channel owner will sort it out?
Thoughts?

I just thumb them down... doesn't do anything but I feel better! lol

- The more thumbs downs a comment gets, the lower on this list it goes, no matter how many likes it might get. So keep thumbing down!. — FeralPatrick
- Yeah, it lowers it in the list but there is no evidence that others didn't like it as there was before... — Stoopid_Fish_Racing
EnZed, I recall a situation at Hot Car Track where it was you, Simon and myself dunking on a clown in the comments and the three of us having a jolly time of it. That was at least a couple of years ago. Yes, I still want to "White Knight" for my host friends to this day but now I follow the lead of the host. If the host doesn't react, I hold back. It's tough, though. Some people have to defend their favourite channel when no offence was given by making unfounded comparisons and accusations. The concept of constructive criticism with reasoned arguments is a fading artform on social media. Irritating, the disrespect shown for all the effort put in to any show
Crack a beer. Pour a vodka. Ignore it or turn it positive. The power is yours.
It's Funny a negative commitment on my channel I try and take the high road I thank them for taking the time to watch and leave me a comment. Try and address there concerns. But let me see a negative comment on someone's else channel that I and many others enjoy I want to put them on blast. I have a hard time controlling myself. But I do for the sake of the host. I don't want his comments to be filled with me and someone else in a pissing contest. So I try to just move on.
- Rick, you are never nothing short of Pure-Pro; ever. — Numbskull
- I haven't seen that one fella in the comments return after the reaction he got for his totally biased take on an episode of We Are Racing. Like Numbskull said, you took the "Pure-Pro" high road on that — Chris_Hood
- Thanks Chris and Numbskull much appreciate the kind words I try my best. That's all we can ever do — Comet_Tail_Raceway
I skip to the end of the video and then spoil for everyone else what happens
- In this hypothetical, I would be more upset for the damage done to the metrics of that show, an incomplete viewing or one with skips forward is very hurtful for any channel. As for the comment itself, I'm pretty quick on the click, so that alone wouldn't affect me — Chris_Hood
It makes me truly wonder how many people hate themselves and are truly miserable. Negative comments about toys, the channel, and having fun, is truly bizarre. Ultimately, I know the channel can block them.
One thing that really got me into this hobby was the total lack of negativity here and elsewhere. Nothing but encouragement and fun. That's why I don't read youtube comments, lol.
Let's face it, I'm now at Wal Mart, sharing finds (ooh, check this out! You got one like this? Look for a 69 charger for me) with some kid next to me, while his mother kinda looks at me like I'm weird.
Negativity free zone!
When I started it used to annoy me a lot. Now I try to make sure I respond by saying "Thanks for commenting, don't forget to dislike the video too" As they don't realise YT treats any comment and interaction with a video as positive, so the more they comment, the better it is for my video :)
Although there was one person that commented on a number of videos in a row with just really negative stuff and hated on Frank, so I called them out in one video and gave Frank commentating duties by himself for the whole thing. Petty I know, but I was laughing the whole time :)
Take the high road...after all, they're just toy cars.
I think it depends on the comment and how it's delivered...if it's a personal attack then I think us fans have a duty...if it's just nonsensical dribble...then let it ride...unless you wanna take pot shots at someone who's clearly hating their life. I just got a comment about the Title of my latest series...on the 6th Episode no less...I just laughed

Haters gonna hate. Don't feed the comment trolls. Or do what GTR did and make a whole thing just to "spite" that commenter.(The marble comment).
