Does anyone have any ideas?
Every year one of my father's friend has a hot wheel race. We run a stock, outlaw and rocket class. The outlaw class is anything goes except rocket engines. So I was wondering if you guys had any ideas of ways to make a car faster than just weight. Last year I mounted a magnet on the back of a milk delivery van and the held up a opposite charged magnet to give it a jump off the line. Any and all ideas welcome even if they are a bit crazy. Thanks guys.

Powered or unpowered?
Anything goes, except rockets of course.
Hook a CO2 cartridge to a set of wheels and get a spring-loaded hand-held puncture tool that they used to sell back in the day and stand clear.
That's an awesome idea , but we do eliminations so I would have to find a way to just let a limited amount out or just have a bunch of tanks.
how about a spring loaded weight that releases forward after (?) number of tire revolutions...maybe just a catch released by vibration?...shazam , inertia ? the weighted arm should lay flat on the base, that way the initial release of energy will push down not back, the stop should be vertical so that the energy force is applied forward not up or down. way beyond my skill level but the boys in the tool room ??????? i'ld like to see one run...
Grease the wheal axels, and if it doesn't have to be a hot wheels car you could buy a small wind up car, that way you could wind it up and when it's let go it will shoot down the track!
