Dragster scoop
So I'm going to build a Super Comp dragster to race with soon. I need to find a scoop like the one on this dragster:
Anyone know where I can find one?

Try making one from a flexible straw.....
I've thought about trying to use K&S Metal brass tubing, but I don't think there's any way I could shape it correctly.
This is the GP 2009 (F1 Racer)...its the closet shape I could find...maybe add your tubing to the top?

Good idea! I have a GP2009, but I don't want to tear apart my only one just yet though I'll have to see if I can find another one to try it on.
you might "carefully" whittle, file and sand a chunk of wood, plastic, die-cast, or maybe tightly packed florists "foam"...
Check out the scoop on a pro stock 10 Camaro....might be just what you need

Ha! That's funny, I was just looking at one that I have and was thinking the same thing! I guess great minds think alike I'm going to drill one apart tonight and see what the complete scoop piece looks like.
Drilled apart a '10 Pro Stock Camaro tonight, I think the scoop will work with some modification. Wish me luck guys!
The Sirocco has a spoiler that comes off by itself, no cutting needed. Might be helpful.

I'll keep that in mind if I need a wing for a dragster, but I think you misunderstood my original post. I'm looking for the air scoop on top of the engine
When we did the Pro Stock race, I needed an 80's hood scoop for a camaro. I got a little package of sculpy at the crafts store and made one.

Did you bake the sculpy to make the scoop hard?
