Dynasty of Dodge Tournament
Saturday, February 27th, 2021Come one come all!
If you can Dodge a wrench, you can Dodge a ball.
But in this tournament, if you’re not driving a Dodge, you can’t win at all!
Welcome race fans to the 2021 Dynasty of Dodge Tournament! This is the first ever mail in event hosted by Bay City Diecast Racing, at Bay City Speedway. To start the racing season off right, we thought we would let you, the viewers, participate in an all Dodge powered event. In this double elimination tournament, builders are allowed to choose any casting (new or old) of one of the four Dodge models listed below.
- Dodge Dart
- Dodge Viper
- Dodge Charger
- Dodge Challenger
- EDIT: ALL DODGE CASTINGS NOW ACCEPTED. Including Rodger Dodger.
We’re really looking forward to this event! We are hoping to fill 48 places, but depending on the interest, we may cap it at 64 entries. DM Darrell Alexander for address info. Please include $5 if you’d like your Dodge returned after the tournament. Good luck everyone! This is going to be great! I can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with!

Track
Race format and scoring
The 64 cars will compete in 16, 4 car races to reduce to 32. Repeat to 8 to reduce to 16. 5,3,2,1 scoring. Cars will be seeded based upon qualifying. Final 16 cars will compete in a double-elimination bracket style tournament to determine winner. A car will move on in the bracket only when it wins two races in a row. Cars will alternate lanes between each race.
The car that wins the final race will be declared the winner. Race host has final decision in all races.
Bracket seeding based on qualifying.
Penalties/DNF
Cars are given a grace of 2g over the stated weight limit to account for variance in scales.
If a car fails to meet any of the restrictions listed above, the car will not qualify for victory. Offending cars will be repaired if possible.
Cars that fail to run or fit on the track, or that happen to break during racing, will forfeit their matches. Cars that arrive broken will attempt to be minimally repaired before the racing begins. Cars that break during racing will not be repaired or replaced.

Discussion
I'm trying to get an address for this tourney; can anyone help me out?
Are Charger Daytona, 500, Drift & Brazilian variants ok?
Hell yeah!! This is a really killer track with great commentary. You can count me in for this one. I've been looking for an excuse to redo a 69 Charger.
Luckily, I already had this one made and was waiting for the right moment to send it somewhere. Cobra Kai never dies

Hey everyone! As you know this is my first mail in event as well as my first opportunity to work with Redline Derby. So, needless to say, I didn't know this forum even existed down here until now. I apologize to all of you who had questions and needed my answer. Hopefully I've replied to you all individually, if not, I'll be able to now. Thanks guys!

Gonna start working on my entries tomorrow, sending a Challenger and a Viper. Should get them in the mail next week.
The LYDC build is almost ready to go... ships out this week! Looking forward to it!

Ride or Diecast!!
Going out in mail today. Team DRT3K on the way. (Maybe I'll eat some hay. I just may. Whattaya say?) Regular mail, but I'm just up in Portland area, so shouldn't be a prob getting to you by deadline.
- Sweet! Glad you can play! ;) — G4DiecastRacing
- They look sweet Sam! Better in person I'm sure. I'll let you know when they arrive. Thanks!! — BayCityDiecast
- Viper is a bit fugly, but should race well. Second time using a playing card to hide weight (whole lot easier on a truck bed). Gonna have to get cleaner in the execution. Challenger is pretty clean, though. :) — Sam_Haul
I'll be sending in a car or two for this race as well but won't have anything built to show or send until probably a couple weeks out. Looking forward to it though...been a while since I've made any mods.
Heh, I was looking to see if MBX or HW had castings of a Second Generation Dodge Challenger so I could throw you off... MBX does but it seems to me like it's very rare... the "no one even wants one" kind lmao.
