You need a different kind of clay. The kind they have in the crafts or kids crafts isle at Wal Mart. The kind I got came with four or five sticks of colors. It resembles a bulky box of crayons.

It's Crayola air dry clay. I set it in front of a heater so it may have dried to fast.

My wife, who is a professional clay figurine maker says to use either "Fimo or Sculpy" polymer clay. It will never crumble. It will only get hard. It may react with some plastics though giving the plastic a gummy surface, and making it cloudy . She said all this not me. I am probably going to use this technique in my submissions.

The Nightstalker entrants look fast!

And Traction Event, Your team looks vicious! The Track Tune is a great model, along with the Chrysler (as we know), and the Ferrari 308 ( as we also know...). The Poison Pinto is a classic, love it!

The Nightstalker cars ALWAYS look fast. The key word is look.

I'm having a tough time building 5 fast and equal cars...

I think that's the case for everybody. I've noticed in past races...the top eight may be from eight different owners. It happens a lot where everybody has one really fast car.

let's see, at 90 cars that would be 170 potential taillights ahead of the sloppies... seeing red !

Today I layed out 40 feet of track to see if any of my cars could even make it that far. With 2 ft elevation at the start.
My fastest car in three attempts crashed 3 times all in different spots. It looked like it just started bouncing like it had bad shocks. My other cars, all but one that dudded out on me, ran the entire distance. I have no idea if they ran a fast time but they did make the distance.
