This is the first time I'm actually "building" cars to race and i must say it's been a blast i can't wait to see how they perform. I'm just stuck on a few issues. (1)- shortening an axel so the wheel swap doesn't have so much play. (2)- figuring out how and where and how much weight to add to the car.

To reduce the amount of play I have taken thin strips of plastic, cut them to fit the chassis where the axle sits, notch it for the axle, and super glued them in place. It widens the chassis so you don't have to modify the axle length. If the axle is long enough that the wheels stick out past the body then you'd have to either cut it or find a shorter axle.

And I totally agree. Building them is half the fun.

Still should give plenty of time to prepare. As far as the Chrysler thing, In IMO it should be left as first stated, Javelins, Gremlins, Pacers, etc. can all be entered in under other, I think that was probably the original idea for it. There's Nash, Rambler, Studebacker, Kaiser/Frazier, Reo, Simplex, Thomas, Maxwell, Moon, and many many others that were merged, bought out, swallowed out of existance, willys was with jeep at one time, and I think, that originally Ford was in on helping build the willys/jeeps during WWII I don't remember for positive, but I think ford may have, I need to check on that again.
I have a studebaker and a amc that I might enter in the series, and wichever on it will go under other, I have more than enough mopar to choose from. Thats just my opinion to leave as first done.
Lets all race !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

american bantam designed the "willys" jeeps... too small a company to get the bid... willys and ford made the jeeps and american bantam built the trailers for the jeeps... HISTORY CHANNEL

I assume Willys are OK for Chrysler...since they fall in line with the JEEP. That's my reasoning anyway.

Almost had my line up ready to go but my mopar car was only on 3 wheels. I guess the chassis was tweaked so I'm in search for another mopar.

I tried that and once i put the casting back on and snapped it back to the chassis it pretty much went back to where it was. Maybe I'm missing something. Yeah i wanted to stay away from bending axels.
