Favorite race casting
Just curious what is everyone's favorite race casting? I'm pretty much starting to build what I like and hopefully will run good on the track. There are many cool cars out there but seems to be predominantly Hot Wheels is the go to.Anyone build others besides Hot Wheels?

The `87 Ford Sierra Cosworth is another modern casting that seems to modify and perform well. It's available in a full metal premium version and has proven to be a stable performer on the many OTs of YouTube. A good potential alternative to the venerable `08 Lancer.

As far as different brands go, I like to send a different brand of car along with a hot wheels when there are races where you can send multiple cars. I've tried Maisto, Johnny Lightning, Road Champs, Matchbox, generic no- name cars from Dollar Tree, and old Tomicas and Yatmings with some success.
But... Not all wheels and axles are created equal. Right now I'm working on an old Fast 111s, a Tomica Pocket Car and an old Zlymex in hopes there's a race coming up that they will fit in. I like to see the vintage stuff raced from when I was a kid, including the vintage generic makes.

Anything old...particularly older, beat up MBX that need a wheel swap and some gentle panelbeating with a sledgehammer.
And Mini wagons :)

The orange Mini wagons are often fast, in my experience. I don't see them raced much though.

- Those mini vans have a lot of room for weight placement so you can adjust for both drag and open track. The wheels however...not the best :( — EnZedRacing
