The FEATHERWEIGHTs were all sent to their respective homes today.
Sorry for the delay but I've been damn near as busy as Jobe!

Tastelikedirt: My Chevelle & Gasser entries are included with your cars.

Thank you! I'll keep an eye out.

Got my cars back today! I don't know who, but someone needs to work on their stop box. Two of my cars were pretty badly busted up from this, going to need to repaint one of them. The other isn't as bad... probably cause it never won any races. haha.

So for the track hosts of the next event: PLEASE be sure you have a good stop box before racing these! A lot of us put a lot of time into making these cars and it would be nice if the hosts spend a few extra minutes to make sure they don't get busted up during the races!

Thanks!

WorpeX, I'm curious, were the damaged cars repainted or original paint?

Anybody else have any problems with their cars?

The two repainted ones. I put clear-coat on both but I guess it wasn't as strong as i'd like. :/

For the first series that I ever entered I stripped, sanded, primed, sanded then painted them (yellow!) with Model Master's Custom Lacquer System (color and clear coat). When they returned from the series I could not believe all of the paint chips that each car had!

Now on a repaint I scuff up the original paint then shoot it.
Either that or find original yellow cars to start with.

FYI: My stop box is partitioned so that the cars won't come into contact with each other. In the end of each side of the box is rolled up bubble wrap, similiar to what the cars were returned in. I use this every time I race or test and it seems to work fine for me.

Yeah, I can see why you didn't paint cars up for this one now... I think for Series III we need to require the hosts to post a picture of their stop box before allowing them to be hosts. Looking back at the stop box at the carlisle event in Series I.... well lets just say Im glad I didn't have repaints for that race! haha

Before you replied I put a description of my stop box in the thread above yours.

a couple of minor chips on the driver's rear fender on 1 car the others were fine...but my cars are open wheeled, if that matters.

Probably from some internal parts flying out of the headers.
That left bank sounded kind of weak when it made passes here!

course the left bank was weak... we pulled the plug wires out of those 4 cilynders... didn't feel we needed 'em in texas...
