first custom paint/modification

So I found an old Ferrari F40 matchbox in an old cars box and I'm not the best at modifying and I wanted to paint it blue and switch wheels for hot wheels ones, this is the finished result ????

Off to a good start! Good brush control, no paint on the windows. What kind of paint did you use, enamel or acrylic?

Acrylic. I took it apart and used the rustic spray paint, turned out actually kinda decent had to do a couple layers — DuckyDouseRacing
Was the spray paint acrylic? Acrylic will have a hard time sticking to the enamel paint on the cars. Ideally, you should strip the paint and primer the cars first. I use Citristrip paint stripper which is not as caustic as some strippers and works just as well. The I use duplicolor sandable primer, this will give the acrylic paint something to stick to. Enamel paints will stick to the cars without having to strip and primer. I use acrylic paints personally, and feel that they are better than enamels.
