Ford Model A mod kit
On yet another Internet impulse by I picked up the 3-D printed lowered body for the recent Ford model A custom 31 casting. And that came from HHWcustoms he's got a number of things, including decals and custom wheels. So this would be kind of a long-term project because there would be a lot of detail work to be done. Also, can somebody reference me to what will work to make long custom axles. What diameter rod is needed and if you can provide a Amazon or hobby shop part number that would be great.
current thoughts are like a candy yellow or a candy green.

Looking good so far! You can get stainless tubing axles with end caps from Aliexpress depending on your needed length... you can also buy mm sizes in stainless tube in lengths up to 500mm...
Mod My Ride (shopmmr.com) sell the custom axles you are looking for. They are metal tubes of the right size to fit your wheels, and comes with two small "nails" that fit inside the tube. The head of said nails act as a retainer and keep your wheel from falling off. ...and they seem to be on sale right now.

I have bought these for longer axles. The 21 gauge has worked for me. They have a few different lengths. For the ends I bought some pins used for model railroads from my local hobby store. HHW Customs does have some cool stuff.

I use brass tubing if I have to widen or narrow,
also have used jewelery crimps on piano wire axles
or 1/8 brasing rods polished and motor cycle wheels...lol

Well here are a few pics of the hot rod as it is this evening. I would say it's about 60 or 70% done as far as detail work and such. This is a really cool little 3-D model but it is a bit awkward how he has done the Mounts for the axles. Easiest thing to do is just glue these things in and it'll be a little touch and go on the fronts. Hopefully this thing will roll after I complete that operation, but it certainly is again just a display model. But I really do like it. It reminds me of the hot rods of my vague memories of Southern California in the very early 60s.
I have just temporarily mounted these wheels just to get a look. I've got another set of some real fatty's. That look awesome
