FTE2?

As I sit here hoping my gassers that I ordered make it in time to slap some wheels on and get them out in time for the race, I realized I had better find some wheels. I was wondering, are these FTEs? According to the FTE2 wiki, these look like trap5 wheels but I am not sure.

Any of the FTE wheels will have a bronze color on the rim/spokes....also the package will say "faster than ever"

And don't sweat not having FTE wheels, they are not a must have. Fast cars can have just about any wheels, just need to roll smooth and straight.

I saw where the originals were bronze but take a look at this link.

That page should be edited for clarity. The wheel design is the same (trap 5), but not the most important feature of an FTE I or II. It is the axle material - notice the different color of the shaft. All FTE's though do have a bronze/coppery finish to them though.

Okay. The search continues then. Have found a few non FTEs that seem to spin well.

A little powder graphite can help the non FTE wheels, but it doesn't last forever. Hobby shops will usually carry it. Michaels will have it with the Pinewood Derby car display.
