Hi,

Can New Jersey Drive Racing Team participate?  Team#  is 11.

  • Are you submitting a team of 4 or looking for others to join with? JBlotner wants to enter 2, so you could work together if you only want to make 1 or 2 cars. — Chaos_Canyon

(Not entering right now, clarifying rules.)

So, maximum team weight, with whatever vehicle you choose, is 303g. Anything within those limits is fair game.

It looks like the war rigs are out of the Super Rigs series--while they do not fit on normal orange track, it appears that the Gasoline Gorge track is wide enough to accept them.

-Bulldog is a HW Cruisin' Illusion. (Super Rigs, does not fit orange track)
-El Toro is a HW Road Roller. (Super Rigs, does not fit orange track)
-Grunter is the HW Scania Rally Truck (Track Fleet, fits on orange track)

I'm going to assume that tractor and trailer do not necessarily have to match, which means switching trailers from vehicle to vehicle?

  • 1: Yes, the team weight is based on one vehicle from each type and the max of each range. But like the current race with the bug lords, all 4 cars don't weigh as much as one war rig. — Chaos_Canyon
  • 2. War rigs can be any articulated truck from any series, as long as it fits within the specified rules, however I would advise strongly not to push you wheel width to the max 48mm. Our tracks are custom made to 50mm wide, which doesn't leave you a lot of room. — Chaos_Canyon
  • 3. I tested the track with some of the matchbox series of trucks (Tesla truck, fuel truck etc that we have raced on our old tracks) and those ones you mentioned. The super rigs do seem to handle well on the track and I haven't had any issues with them other than jackknifing, which is why we suggest limiting max articulation to 45 degrees off centre, but you don't have to do that. — Chaos_Canyon
  • 4. Correct. You don't have to use a matching set, you can mix and match or make a completely custom truck and trailer from other parts etc as long as it still fits within the dimension and weight rules. — Chaos_Canyon

I would like to put together a team of 4 cars if you are still accepting entries please.

RamRaid #87

Cheers.

Lots of carnage in this one. Don't worry, not all dead cars get spiked.

Just some advice on the builds....stick to the dimensions!  One of my builds exceeded the maximum width and is now on a diet of grinding discs and sledgehammers  (insert frustrated face emoji here)

  • Haha. Nothing says wasteland like a sledgehammer to the face — Chaos_Canyon
