GASSER WARS, the series
a. pre 1970 cars, station wagons and pick-up trucks (no open vehicles or roadsters, no fantasy cars) built to resemble "Gassers" of the fifties and sixties. Must have four original fenders, modification for wheel clearance ok.
b. front runners up front on all cars (HW skinny's, ex: Madfast, Astro Funk, Passin' Gasser), axles must remain one piece (no FTE axles).
c. rear wheels: no FTE, no HSW and no Redline wheels, axles must remain one piece (no FTE axles)
d. no extended wheelbases, wheelbase must be as intended for a typical stock single engined car.
e. weight limit - 45 grams or less.
MUST ENTER TWO CARS .
YOUR CARS MUST HAVE DIFFERENT BODIES.
CARS MUST BE LESS THAN 3.5” LONG.
CARS MUST BE LESS THAN 1.25” TALL.
ONLY "DRY" LUBES ARE ALLOWED.

Double elimination tournament style, best of three wins each race.
1st - 12 points
2nd - 9
3rd - 7
4th - 6
5th - 5
6th - 4
7th - 3
8th - 2
all other finishers - 1
Points will be tallied per car (not averaged).
At the end of the Series there will be a Champion Car and an Owner Champion.
Awards? - open to suggestions!

i am hosting a "run what ya brung" hot wheels race at a local rod and customs club's summer car event, saturday, june 23th,
hosting a gasser "war" would be sooo cool... one of the hot rod guys announces for me over my mini kerioki machine with the echo and treble cranked up, bass off... sounds like a cheap rented dragstrip P.A. system .... watcha think carl ?
... i think a "gasser war" every weekend is going to be greatest thing since sliced bread... i mean, hey, we've got relatively matched wheels... all under 45G's... some with nose bleed stances... this is gonna be a drag !
I'm really liking that $1,000 Top Prize Carl is offering in the poster up there.
Sign up the ADD track(s) sometime mid-June is possible.
My track is available any time.
i'm not holding carl to the payoff... but you know that in 1/64th scale, a GRAND is really about $15.62... still not a bad day racing diecast GASSERS!
SLOPPY JALOPIES just finished their 14 car "GASSER WAR" eliminations, the fastest two are going to be in the mail to "taste like diecast" by week's end..
