Seal the walls against moisture seep through the cinder blocks as they are porous and the concrete mortar has a tendency to crack. Also add an exhaust vent some how some way to help with air circulation.

We had a house with a cinder block, unfinished portion of the basement and it had moisture issues. The finished side was also cinder block construction but the walls must have been sealed or something because we didn't have any problems on that side. — BadWoolRacing

exhaust is only ok if it's dry outside. my styrofoam home, we have to closely monitor that, otherwise you drag in a bunch of moisture. (I live in Houston, tx, super high ambient humidity) — dr_dodge
Well our humidity is relatively good outside. We have to worry more about our neighbours as we live close to the Suwalki Gap. — Mike_W

Okay... progress of sorts (see link). Tried 3 track configurations and liked this one the best. I want to knuckle down and tighten this one up and open it for racing. The scenary may be the toughest thing of all. Got a lot of thick brown wrapping paper, so may create a desert scene from that.

Good looking track so far, nice framework, too. Suggestion: Paper is going to tear, period. Back it up with cardboard strips in a waffle pattern... lightweight, more sturdy You can also use shop rags soaked in a 50/50 mix of water and white glue, laid over the same kind of framework.
