Good To Be Back
Good Morning Fellow Diecast People,
Simmo here.
Sorry for the radio silence, there was a lot going on the back-end of last year. From a personal stand-point there were some family health issues and also my father in law was involved in a very serious motorcycle accident which he is still rehabilitating from.
Add to that "work" with the build-up to the Olympics and some other stuff to do with a bad experience entering a couple of events and some issues around Diecast Racing News, which I won't go into.
I just wanted to say hi and hope everyone is well.
Re: Diecast Racing News, it is a project I will be returning to. However, I am currently in the middle of a track restructure in the race cabin, where I am building a two-lane race track, a drag strip, and few discipline based arenas (a launch pad, jump pit and balance beam) so this is taking up my time at present as I am getting involved in trying to help organise the World Diecast Games.
I look forward to speaking with you all again. It's good to be back.
Simmo

RE: the new project, it was an idea I pitched to Tim about 2 years ago, but did not have the space to run with the idea.
As you know I now have the race cabin in the back garden so it is possible. An "Olympic Games" for diecast. Will take some setting up but will keep you all posted.

Let me be the first to say "Welcome back"! Glad to hear that things have leveled out for you! Sorry to hear about the poor experience you had with someone here. Just know that was the exception, not the norm.
