Had a few minutes...

So I cut the roof off a Ferrari 458 to make a roadster.

Been thinking and looking at this one for awhile and had a few minutes last night.
Nice thing about the silver paint is you can't tell too much where I cut it!

Nice. Nice and clean. I have a couple wheel-less Italias around here too, wondering what to do with them. One is getting prepped for the Featherweight challenge.

I have a feeling there are going to be quite a few 458's in the featherweight challenge!

DO THEY NEED THE ROOF REMOVED TO MAKE WEIGHT CLASS LIMITS ?

No they don't, just wanted to have some fun

I don't know how accurate my scale is, but if I remember correctly my blue one with FTE's was approx. 36 grams. It dropped to 32 grams just by removing the interior.

I've weighed a few of these, and some are less than 35 grams while others are more. Wonder how come?

So I cut the roof off a Ferrari 458 to make a roadster. . .

I'm curious as to how removing the roof will effect the balance of the car.
That's quite a bit of weight off of the rear of the car.
Looks like more testing Bryan!

My scale only does whole grams, but roofless comes in at 31g.

You made a 458 Spider.
