Happy Holidays 2025 - Be safe, happy racing

Holiday greetings as we come up on Thanksgiving Christmas! Thanks to everyone that came through RLD this year...to those that came and went, to the regulars that have been here for years, but especially to those that found a new place to hang out and share their fun this year. Be safe, have fun, and happy racing!

It blows my mind that this place has been hanging on for 16 years now. What started as just some man-boy in Ohio playing with his Hot Wheels and sharing it online, grew into a honest community of diecast racing hobbyists...and I couldn't be prouder.

The word "community" gets thrown around a lot when talking about websites but when you connect with people beyond just a screen name and avatars, that to me is the definition of a communtiy. A neighborhood. And it's what keeps RLD worth running. I hope many of you feel the same way.

Those of you that have been around for many years know I'm always saying "I'm working on improvements," and yet very little seems to change...but both are true. Working on this website is my hobby as much as racing is for you. I putter and play when life allows, and move things forward as best I can...but just like a car, not every improvement is visible. The Great Spam Page Outage of 2025 was a wake up call for me, and trust me that I'm (slowly) working on things that will hopefully help prevent those situations in the future.

So here's to a year gone by, and to a new year coming that I hope will be fun for everyone!
