Hobby Talk customs contest, upcoming

thanks k n' o, cool contest.... I sold 40 or 50 customs before I came here... sort of a reaffirmation that the cars are acceptable, and not a waste of time. .......

 but the racing of a custom is the best of both worlds.... make it cool AND fast !

I will see if I can come up with sompin'...........or maybe i'll mail YOU a paint n' glue kit ? ..... hmmmmmmm

Dad said he has something planned for the no-drill category.

I joined up!  The contest only requires you to submit photos of the build and then the public votes.  Proposed catagories are Gassers, Haulers, Rat Rods and 4 different muscle cars which where recent, current or upcoming events for us already!!!

I have an old login that still works over there, from when iI raced RC. So just post photos, and state what catagory.

I don't know if I will waste my time building a custom for this contest...I can't check on anything, can't find anything...k n o sent me a message, clicked the link... no message there..

Just like on here - the link above just takes you to a planning thread - without set details or dates.  Many of the proposed categories are builds we have just done or are doing right know so when that is posted you should already be good to go.

The old thread link posted on that site to the previous contest (from 2 years ago) just shows one 3/4 view of each build - as the contest photo - so start taking pictures of individual car builds as you finish them or find previous build photos that show a car that will fit into the contest category - when they announce it!
