I dont like the F40

GrabberGT Saturday, 2/5/2011

I decided to buy one to see exactly how fast it was after it took the season 3 championship. I hate to say it but it is quite fast. I immediately put it up against my fastest car, the Escalade (dont like that one either), and the F40 easily took the win. I may have to modify something cool just to know the F40 out of the lead. Its not even a very cool looking car IMHO.

That F40 is a demon.

And have to agree, that is one UGLY paint job. Bleck. Mustard gold and black does not make for awesome. No respectable Ferrari owner would ever think of doing that their car.

The f40 that races in our league must be slow... I don't think it has cracked top 8 (64 car bracket) I might have to get one to see for myself.

The Ferrari F40s are always dangerous to race against. That's why I sent that one in, lol.

Is it retired for good?

Well, "for good" is a strong phrase Since the F40 and Testarossa won entire seasons, they are in the Hall of Fame which means they are out for the forseeable future...until we have some sort of Hall of Fame tournament.

I think I may un-retired non-champions next season. With all the new cars added since many of them were retired, I think the competition will be stiffer for them...or will it? Ooooo....and that's the fun!

Which Ferrari F40 is truly the fastest one out there? Is it the one from 1989, which is the one that appears (based on picture) in the races here or are we talking about the Gold Medal Speed F40? I believe the champion Ferrari Testarossa is also part of the Gold Medal Speed cars from 1994.

We bought an unopened F40 from the 89 series. So far it is a dog on my track--it wins but doesn't beat the best cars, but when we took it to our competition 50 foot track, it finished 4th last month. All of the other F40s--both this version and the Gold Medal Speed one that is pictured above, don't come close to finishing in the top. I also bought the Testarossa. With that car, I haven't cracked the top 4 yet in any of the divisions. Tracks make such a difference in the performance of cars.

Don't forget as well that the Ferrari F40 has lost a handful of races. More so than other cars that are considered "unbeatable".

You know what would be cool with bringing back retired cars--instead of points given with these codes that are being released, they would open up these "locked" cars for people. Heck you could do that for both these cars and new cars that are being introduced.

Oooo...I think you're on to something there, Iowa. I like that. I'll investigate what that would take.

A code could bring back a car from retirement or as you suggested, "unlock" a new car adding it to the pool at large.
