I just won the 2025 Keystone Diecast Carnival championship

It took a while but the GsR paddock apparently still has some swagger.

I attended todays event in Leesport, PA with the intentions to just to sell some mainlines. But knowing there would be a racing event, I also packed my 32 car case of front line racers. I spent most of the day selling $1 mainlines...340 of them by days end. They announced for race entries around mid-day. The track was a simple 6 lane 20 footer with a rather shallow drop angle. I hastily grabbed my case and looked for something fast and lightweight. I knew that the shallow drop and short length would do no favors for anything heavy. My Acura HSC Concept FTE was screaming at me. I've had this car for 14 years and never entered it in a tournament. Although it did once smoke a GMS Ferrari F40 on Andy Goodman's 40 footer in 2011. Anyway, I took the car to the entry table, filled out the required info, and went back to my vendor's table to sell cars. Unfortunately, I was so busy moving mainlines that I never saw the car actually win. I heard a murmur after the first round I was in 2nd place. An hour or so later I had noticed that the racing was finished. As I approach the entry table I see my Acura with a trophy next to it and was told that it swept the brackets after the first round. They apparently attempted to find me when it won, but I was probably knee deep in customers at the time. I was delighted with the victory, I only wish I wasn't so commited to selling on this trip. Maybe next time...
