Is it tacky for a host to be in his own races?

Is this really frowned on or ok ? What are you guys thoughts ,me personally i think it will be a bad look and give the track a bad rep especially if the host stay winning the tournaments lol.

I've seen several people it, no one really complains. I have cars in my 12-race series but I won't be keeping the prizes on the off-chance one of them actually wins the championship, which probably won't happen, since some of these other guys built cars that defy the laws of physics.
