Is there a Coupon code for Derby Dad Oil?
QuadWheelz Monday, 1/12/2026
The Derby Dad oil oil is $35.95 with shipping. I know this is someones bussiness but thats alot for such a small bottle. I don't mind helpping out small shop owners but it would be nice to have a coupon. Maximum Velocity Pro Extreme derby oil is $37.50 before shipping cost. Is there another oil that's good and not as exspensive?

For my lube I use Liquid Wrench silicone and trumpet valve oil, not sure of the brand.
- Trumpet value oil... lol, I play sax & trombone in middle school back in the day. Never thought of that. Great idea Which one works better? — QuadWheelz
- The trick is to: 1. Add a bit of silicone to each wheel. 2. Work it in by rolling it back and forth, or running down a track a bunch of times. 3. Let it dry for a week or two. 4. Add a bit of oil to each wheel. Not much. Let it dry and the car should get faster the longer it sits. — ManiacMotorsports
I always imagine someone buying a few quarts of 0w20 synthetic oil and then selling it for $16 an oz as Super Slick racing oil.
- lol, I wound not put it pass someone. — QuadWheelz
- Has anyone tried synthetic motor oil? — QuadWheelz
- the slot car track makes their own traction sticky. $3 / oz lube bottle. main component is ATF, with (I think) STP for sticky part. — dr_dodge

Here is one that I use. So far it seems to work well and it's cheaper.
