Back in the winter of 2013 Stroller ran the Pickup Pavement Pounders race, had a 90 somethin' gram weight limit, any pickup truck allowable. It was a special event to me, as it was the first RLD Mail-in race I competed in. I've always wanted to see a sequel to it... maybe something for us to consider? :)

Some more ideas:

1. Corvette Summer.  Loved the movie as a kid (even made a pinewood derby car inspired by it)  All modded Vettes.  Since I'm new I realize you guys might have already done something along these lines before.

2. Off Road/Baja.  I have a decent amount of Matchbox cars with knobby tires.  I would think the tracks would have to be a little different to reflect this.  I don't really have any good suggestions on how to change them.  Maybe a small hump or two.  Maybe a section of track with sand paper taped on it to suggest slightly uneven ground.  May not be feasible.

3.  Motorcycle or 3 tire rip-n-roll

I still love the Autobahn, 3-axle, and Mad Max ideas too.

How about a rubber tire (real wheel) race?

That is a great idea FOTF! I have wanted to see a modified rubber tire race on here forever!

It's not a race but my kids and I were watching some Smackrel CafĂ© videos on youtube (we love those) last night and he ran what he called a Route 66 track where he laid out 50 feet of track with two "humps" and two 180 turns from a drop.  The point was to see which car coasted the furthest.  Of course the 3 FTE's he included took the top three places.  Reminded me of some the cool stuff done with the Trans Am road race event.
