Gspeedr the downhill racing will start right around 9:00am. You should be fine with doing some testing before racing starts. Best of luck!

Thanks again, johnnyl.

Looks like Saturday will be another they 'come out to play' on Saturday

I certainly hope so.

Gspeedr, We except mail ins at our monthly races here in Lincoln if you are interested! No there will be no mail ins allowed at the KDC event because my Vice President Jamie and some of the other guys running the event wont have time to watch peoples cars and they also do not want to be responsible for any damaged cars. I think Jamie might be racing a few BWF Camaros in JL Stock but not positive. He does have some for sale that he will have there on his table. Again best of luck and make sure Jamie or Pierre gets a picture of you with the LJLRC decal in hand.

I have everything packed up & ready 2 go 4 tomorrow. I hope to arrive in Denver, PA by 8am to give me time to unpack and start testing some cars. I'm bringing lots of cars to sell or trade as well as some kiddie donors. I'm sure the competition will be tough, but I'll do my best to represent "the forum".

....and yes, Brian, I will be wearing my T-shirt.

I just got home not too long ago and I'm simply exhausted which is a good indicator that I had a stiff today would be an understatement. I certainly applaud the LJLRC and the other competitors for thier competitive spirit and good sportsmanship. I got a chance to meet and race against some good folks today and that fact alone made this event a winner in my book.

And I will elaborate about some more details of the day, but I really need a nap right about now...zzzzzzzzzzzzz (lol)

Sounds like a solid showing by a RLD veteran. Nice work indeed!

Thanks guys!!

The other news that I wanted to share was RLD member, Andy Goodman(aka:"crazycollector") was also in attendance yesterday and held a brief seminar on his new collecting software "Model Pack Rat"(https://www.modelpackrat.com/). He also announced that he would bring his custom built 6-lane 40ft track(same track used in the FC1) to the Keystone Diecast CARnival in 2015. And being that I have some previous experience with this track, I was also asked if I would help coordinate the 2015 races by Sean(aka:"Swifty"), which is really a tremendous honor for me.

The races @ the 2015 KDC have the potential to be BIG. While mail-ins were not permitted this year, I'm going to strongly encourage them for next year...even if I have to manage the cars myself. I also told Sean that I would like to implement 'double elimination' brackets, like we use here @ RLD, because they help keep everyone involved longer. I'm also going to extend a personal invite to the Charm City Hot Wheels Club(Baltimore MD area) to attend and compete next year. Both the LJLRC and the C4 clubs have formidable competitors. Bringing them together to compete on neutral ground(PA) is the perfect recipe for an epic club vs. club, HW vs. JL battle!

So, stay tuned.
