fotf you bring up a good point about weights...
some of our hosts may have small children...so for safety's sake, all racers please glue the weights in so a little tyke doesn't pick one up and put it in their mouth... remember the bb's we had all over the place in the H.D.S. II series...

Exactly. They don't have small children, but while I was working on that Mustang at my grandparents' house yesterday, I dropped one of the little weights. We did find a battery for Grampy's hearing aid...but, unless it got vacuumed up, the weight's probably still there.

Sorry to hear about your car, KHarvest. The first time I tried sending cars to TLD...long story.

Happy to help out. I hope it's fast for you.

I also lost a couple of cars a while back.

Yeah, not the first time the mail ate a car or two for us!! We ALMOST lost an entire tournament worth of cars for the featherweights 2 but luckily they arrived a few weeks late...

I also lost a couple of cars a while back.

I always get the tracking number thing when I mail cars. I think it cost 75 cents. I doubt it would actually keep anything from getting lost, but it's something...
As far as I know, those Nightstalker cars are the only mail in cars that have all together been lost by the post office when headed for a mail in race, well adding KHarvest to the list and that's all of a sudden not such a good ratio for the post office. To be far though. I was surprised the first KHarvest car actually made it here, and undamaged at that!( It was just mailed in an envelope) Mostly because I worked for UPS a few years back and know first hand all the craziness that happens behind closed doors, with conveyor belts, big trucks, thousands and thousands of packages, disgruntled employees, ect... When you mail cars you have to pack them almost like you expect people to be walking on your package and throwing it and whatever else.

It crossed my mind when i mailed them but like i said i was just In a hurry to get them out. Plus with a long and busy work schedule lately it was just easier to throw them in an envelope but I'm not doing that again. Lesson learned.

new thing with USPS... they put a tracking # on all parcels, you need not ask for it...or go to a more expensive level of shipment....

A bit of history....In an effort to capture that universal feeling of 'pre-race anticipation', I posted this short video before the start of the 1st Featherweight Challenge series over a year ago. It was relevent then and its relevent now. Enjoy!
