Race format and scoring

This will be a single-elimination tournament. A car will move on in the bracket only when it wins two races in a row. Cars will alternate lanes between each race.

The car that wins the final race will be declared the winner. Race host has final decision in all races.

Bracket seeding will be random.

Penalties/DNF

Cars are given a grace of 1g over the stated weight limit to account for variance in scales.

If a car fails to meet any of the restrictions listed above, the car will not qualify for victory. Offending cars will still race. Finish position and any prize will go to the runner-up in the case of the penalty car winning.

Cars that fail to run or fit on the track, or that happen to break during racing, will forfeit their matches. Cars that arrive broken will attempt to be minimally repaired before the racing begins. Cars that break during racing will not be repaired or replaced.

Furry?!? ... like the people who dress up like animals? Are we supposed to send cars that resemble those?

SpyDude 10/9/23

Dude, come on……. Look, this is why people aren’t taking you seriously:

-You literally just signed up this month. You’ve been here a total of three days, and that’s being generous. Red flag.

-You have NOTHING at all: no posts (other than two races, wtf?), no wins/losses, no YouTube or TikTok channel, not even a profile picture or an introduction. Who are you? Where are you? How long have you been into racing Hot Wheels? How did you find the website? Yet you’re planning on HOSTING a race??? More red flags than a carnival.

-It looks like English is not your first language, due to the numerous misspellings and bad grammar syntax. May I suggest running everything through a translator? Google seems to be pretty good.

-“No eco”? No economy cars? What does this mean?

-It’s glaringly obvious you lifted the rules from another race and simply copy-pasted them into your post. It’s also obvious where you went back and tried to change a couple of things to match up with what you were trying to do (and sorry, but failing miserably). This is literally the only legible part of your entire post, because it was copied from someone else. Red flags.

-"200g maximum weight"? Seven ounces of weight in a Hot Wheels car? What in the hell are you putting in there???

-“TRACK: 2 turns”

That’s going to be a super-short track if all you have is a couple of Dollar Tree turns on it from start to finish.

-"PRIZES: Girly”

I have to admit i laughed the hardest at this. So what exactly are we getting? Hair ribbons? Eye shadow? Lipstick? (If you think that’s funny, there really ARE a few people on here who have painted their cars with nail polish - no kidding.)

Dude. Can you see why no one is taking you seriously? All this sounds like is a “send me cars!” scam, no matter what your intentions are. You have absolutely ZERO credibility at this point. People aren’t going to send you cars simply because you came on here and said “Gimme cars!” They’re going to laugh at you and make fun of you, and that’s exactly what happened.

Build some cars. Send them in. Get your name and your cars out there. Build up some street cred. Because right now, you got nothing, and nothing doesn’t cut it here for someone who wants to host a race.

I am adding to SpyDude, it Needs no more said.

What I would like to say is I just posted my first Race as Host. A little more than a year and a half have I been on Redline, I have built a few Modified cars and have entered Races since May of 2022, I also consider myself a Rookie as I have not even placed.

It has taken my this Long to build a Track, Adjust and get it worthy of Hosting. For me it's a Honor to have Top Drivers sign up. I have most of my Ducks in a row, Have a Track I am greatly happy with and want to have something that The Drivers would love to race on.

The Kinks sang it well I'am on a Low Budget But 57' of track, Start gate, Timer. took me a bit of time to gather. It's worth it as I have met some of the Greatest guys who share the same Passion, Modding Little Cars and competing is a Blast! I even enjoy watching my car get left in the Dust, It at least looks good getting chewed up!

  • cheers! — dr_dodge
  • I gotta get something together to run on your track, but I'm no good with decals and making a car look good and rally-ready. I have more fun making clapped-out junkers that look like hell, but go like hell, too. — SpyDude
  • SpyDude you went the right route in getting them Fast! Paint and Deacls don't win a race, I live on a Farm and am Busy from morning to late at night sometimes.Last Night was good example, Light goes on in Chicken run Grab 20 Gauge run out and #7 Skunk is walking the Rainbow Bridge.Need to reserch more on the posts for information Gems. — Bent_Rod_Racing
  • Those are the things I like about this community. What drew me in was the participation, competition, camaraderie, and it’s just fun. I also plan on building a nice track and hosting races someday, but I also realize that I don’t know nearly enough about the hobby to do it well. I have entered several events over the last few months, and now they’re starting to take place. I’m realizing that there’s a hell of a lot more to it than it seems. These guys on here are good. They’ve been doing it a while and they know what they’re doing. For someone to come in and think they’re going to start winning races out of the gate is just silly. I’m prepared to pay my dues, learn the craft, and (hopefully) start being competitive someday. But even if not, I’m having a blast learning and building. And as a bonus, I get to see my car make laps on some of the best diecast race tracks in the world. — DogSquabRacing
  • DogSquab gets it right with his comment. I am in the same boat with him... trying to learn what makes a fast car fast and the difference between a fast car and an average car. It looks simple from the outside looking in, but when you dig into it, it is every bit as complicated as you would want if you enjoy tinkering! — Stoopid_Fish_Racing

Milo is a rather tasty malt drink we have here in NZ and Australia.  2 full tablespoons in a mug with about 7 sugars, a little hot water to dissolve and Fill that mug with milk!  Sooooo good!!!

Some kids actually eat the Milo straight from the tin (it comes in a large 800g or 1kg tin)

If the prize was a mug big enough for two lots of Milos, then I'd be in! Imagine having a double dose of malty goodness (insert love heart emoji here) along with 14 tsp of sugar to help one relax on the couch with a large packet of chocolate biscuits! Pure heaven xx

So, I'll send my 199g Toon'd Batmobile with all its weight hidden to annihilated the competition and hopefully win an amazing girly prize.

  • You're on! I got my toon'd Silverado all ready to blow your doors off! I'll even split the mascara with you. — SpyDude
  • Pfft...my batmobile has a tiny bit of red in it so it'll be 10x as fast as your Chevy! So bring your mascara and I'll add it to my strawberry lip gloss xx — EnZedRacing
  • lol — dr_dodge
  • Hey now, that Silverado has custom decals from Rust Belt Customs on it, so that automatically makes it 0.0000003 faster than anything YOU got! Hahahaha! — SpyDude
  • Oh man!!! Rust Belt decals? That's an unfair advantage my bro :( — EnZedRacing
  • rust belt flames, over flames, over fur — dr_dodge
  • Hahahaha! Thats Halirous, A Big cup of Milo and a Girly to go with it! Who could ask for More? — Bent_Rod_Racing
  • ridicule seems to work better than anti span software...lol — dr_dodge
