My First Restore Job
Here it is...nothing to write home about, but I'm satisfied with the results. I bought the car for twenty-five cents at a local thrift store, and figured I had nothing to loose in the deal. Came home, and used some oven cleaner to remove all the old paint, and a S.O.S. pad to clean it up afterwards. Used some old paint I had laying around the house and let it dry before putting it back together. And I'll try and post some pics of the before and after...so you can see what it looks like today. Hey, if you have this...let's see your "Restore Job" pictures...I personally think it's kinda neat taking an old throw away car and bring it back to life.

Looking good! Needs new wheels though.
Looks MUCH MUCH Better
I know this place sells new wheels http://cozydog.com/ I thought I would buy from here if I ever did a restore and needed them.
Nice stallion! I loved restoring my old Matchbox car, I should really find another old car and try to fix it up. Thanks for the inspiration.
sorry, been a hot rodder for 30 years... no restorations here !

Thanks for the link! I have an old red line from when I was a kid where it has the two part wheels and one of the outside wheel parts popped off. Now I can buy some and fix 'em!
I've never seen inside a redline. Is this the normal axle and would this axle have an advantage over the straight axles we see in the cars now?
