Before I started working on cars, I've been painting miniatures for tabletop games such as warhammer. This is a miniature of the Egyptian diety Horus for the board game Ankh.

Very nice! I started out making customized model trains which was perfect for learning to paint diecast vehicles and make scale scenery.

- Thank you. For model trains, I use wood to make the roadbed and fill in around it with insulation foam (pink or blue), sometimes using plaster wrap or paper mache over screen; depends on if i need it to stay light for easier moving. The picture of the train here is plywood base and roadbed with blocks of 1x3 or 1x4 to set the track height over the river which is plaster and paint under clear coat so it looks wet. Some of the trees are plastic and foam kits from Woodland Scenics but the thin trees and weeds are clippings from bushes and weeds at my house and nearby park. The sand picture with Brownie Beagle and her Baja Paw Shaker (just ran a few months ago at GTR's Great Sand Dunes) is just sand poured on some black foamcore as a temporary set for the pictures. My pictures with the blue building and paved parking lot are actually just a piece of fine sandpaper and part of an HO scale Pikestuff prefabricated building kit that is taped together so it can fold up for storage. I just set it up for pictures and fold it up until i need it again. I'm hoping to build a track and garage area at my arcade for display and racing. — Billys_Midway_Racing

- Thank you! My main HO layout is around the walls and around a peninsula in my 20x30’ basement. Most of the layout is still lacking scenery since I started out building it as one railroad that I used to work for and decided to change to another tourist railroad that I was helping to restart operations in 2015. When my health crashed, I couldn’t work on it anymore due to the body pain and headaches. The picture here is a smaller photo module that I built, planning to include it into the main layout at some point. Now I just paint my diecast cars to race and hoping to build a race track at some point. — Billys_Midway_Racing

Nice. I just picked up a Frost Giant Skeleton to start on. Maybe one day I'll figure out what paint sceme I want to go with for my Iron Golem.
