Forming the 2 lane start gate

The original 2 lane was 18 feet. Notice the sweet shag carpet of my old rental house

2 lanes wasn't enough. Had to double it! Also added 6 more feet.

Reduced the height almost in half to create a longer elapse race, and also keep cars from jumping.

So there it is. Haven't been able to set it up in my new place 'cause although it has more rooms, none of them are large enough to contain the 24 feet. Going to have to wait till better weather so I can set it up outside.

Great idea on reversing the gray track piece at the end to use the gate as the finish line. I never thought about that.

We use that gray track, without the gate and extend the track out off that. I may have to pick up another one of those tracks and then use that single piece as the finish gate.

That finish gate is pretty darn accurate. I was afraid I'd break it when I switched the flags around, but luckily it came out in one piece
