Nashville Show and Go
Well, I finished my Super Van today. I don't have very high hopes but I like to think it looks good at least
Very cool. There should be a redline derby logo on it!
And I see a bus in the background, lol.
I've had very mixed luck with the decals. Sometimes I screw it up with the application, sometimes it just doesn't print well. I wish there was a better way to make your own decals. I have some retail decals of manf logos and stuff that I made yet add, but may not have the time. Total investment was $2.04
Nice 3-tone paint job Brian! Very nice
Here is the one that the boys and I made up and will be shipping off on Monday. Its our first time in really doing this and I don't know what to expect--except it has run on a 48 foot track.
It is a Matchbox Ambulance with FTE wheels, the engine is a Lego's engine, and lots of space inside!
That is quite a beast of a vehicle Chad!
Here's how my very first custom turned out.
Of course it's a 442!
This is Forrest's entry.
This Splittin' Image is his second attempt at a custom Hot Wheel. I think it's gonna be a bit faster than his first
Right on guys, great to see some custom work happening.
Looking forward to the races, wish I could be there in person.
we'll be at it again in Dallas!
Jim, that 442 just looks plain MEAN!
Thanks Bryan. I'm with you on wanting to see our cars race in person. Especially after finally making a custom and knowing how much work everyone else has put into their customs, what a thrill it would be to see them race! Perhaps Jason or Brian could shoot some video for all of us who aren't going to be able to make it there?
I had to cut 5/16" out of the center of my ******** to get it to fit the track, but the body work is almost finished. I'll get some test track time this weekend. I just have to make sure it'll go through the transition properly. I may have to raise the front bumper a bit. My flame masks are due in this week so it's all looking good. I just need a good color combo.
I hope like hell that I win, lol, That Galaxie is really nice!
