New Class - Vintage Street Stock
I'm going to be hosting an event, and I wanted to create a custom class I thought would be fun, and maybe it's been done, but I haven't seen it yet. A Vintage Street Stock Class that would have a race inspired build.
Below is the rule set, and I think it covers what I want for the look of the car. I also added some pictures of some cars I threw together to see what they would look like, plus the look of the real cars I want to mimic.
I'd like to hear your thoughts and if this build has been done, can you direct me to it?
Vintage Street Stock:
Years allowed- 1960 to 1979 manufactured American Made Cars Only
Street Stock build rules: Dirt Track Race Car Inspired
Modified entries only
60g maximum weight
3.25in. long x 2in. tall x 1.25in. wide
Limit 1 entries per person
Black plastic BSP 5-Spoke wheels only
Smoothing the wheels with light sanding is allowed, no wheel coning
Custom Axles Allowed
Retail/Stock Axles FTE/NPA allowed
Any secret sauce is allowed - however if the car shows up dripping wet it will be disqualified
Builds Based on Dirt Racing Cars
No Concepts or Fantasy vehicles
1/64th size and must fit in the standard Hot Wheels Orange track
Custom painted cars are very encouraged
Race Number must be on the car door
No inappropriate images/words on the car
No windows allowed
Window net drivers side is allowed
Chassis sanding for a flatter bottom is allowed
Wheel well trimming is allowed for bigger wheels
The interior must remain or a custom interior is allowed, as long as it has one seat, a dash board and a steering wheel. ‘Race Inspired’ interior
No outside weights allowed
All weights must be contained inside the body
No SUV’s, Trucks, or other allowed - Cars only
