Live across the pond? You can now purchase an official jig without having to pay the crazy shipping. I'm happy to announce a partnership with Aeroprint 3D for shipping of RLD Axle Alignment Jigs in the UK and Europe!

Aeroprint 3D is a small print shop in Chester, UK that has been largely focused on airplane models but after an RLD member had a good experience while looking to print an off-brand jig, we connected and decided to work out a deal.

This is great for anyone in the UK and greater Europe that was looking for a jig but didn't want to pay the 300% shipping cost from the US or going to the trouble of finding/making your own jig to have printed.

This along with our continued partnership with Slanman Customs for domestic US sales makes it easy for a good chunk of the world to affordably get their hands on one of these little jigs. Every sale supports the local print shop while also helping keep the lights on here at the website.

Hi, Ive seen the axle jigs advertised across the site but what do they actually do and help with?

When you're swapping axles and trying to glue them in place, it's easy for them to get off kilter so the jigs helps keep them parallel and straight. It's not a fancy tool or anything complicated but very necessary if you're trying to squeeze out all the speed you can.

Sweet!

I've just ordered a pair of them, and will report back when they arrive next week.

Wow, okay. Impressive!

Very quick service from Aeroprint 3D meant that the two sets of jigs were sent out on the same evening that I ordered them.

Delivered safely today. Great packaging and instructions on how to use the jig too.

Print quality is waaay up there. Hardly any layer lines, and the parts fit together perfectly. Should be entirely functional, but I don't have time to play mechanic at the moment.

Highly recommended for UK folks!
