IMO 2 classes would be lots better and maybe a little less confusing.
Also, I wouldn't set the deadline for entry too early. I'm sure some are going to need extra time to aquire cars.

ok, what are the two classes? I have my opinion...., but majority rules.

I would choose Funny Car and Pro Stock.

I think this event would be better without classes. Anything which would be considered a dragster should be legal. Smitty sent me parts to a mad fast so I'll probably reassemble that with some enhancements and send it in.

with a candle, heat and spead the "jaws" with a small screw driver, and separate the body / base...
hacksaw the "jaws" from the funnycar body...
find a body with a similar wheelbase...
trim the body / "jaws" to fit...
drill a j.b.rivit hole through the body, file and sand...
J.B.QUICK [WELD] the "jaws" to the body with the "jaws" clamped onto the base...
double check for center both directions...
after set; paint, attatch wheels, adjust weight,..... add glass... and kick my _ _ _ !


shoebox also has the right wheelbase, see you in lane two !

Or, you can pop the body remove and treat/change your wheels/axles, add weight, maybe some grinding for clearance, reassemble & test (hoping for a faster car than what ya started with) when satisfied J B Weld back together & ship out.

It's called the helping hand, get it at most hobby/craft stores, maybe E Bay. and thats not the only giveaway in that pic.

the sloppy jalopies like [2] classes ; funnycar / flopper and altered classes, but will be happy with democrocy's results.
