Now for something totally different
This is way off the track in fact its up in the air. I've always been interested in flight and built a bunch of model airplanes in my youth. as a young man working and living in Reno Nevada. I came within a hair's breath of taking hang glider lessons, but just didn't have the cash. Later in my professional life, I was studying on how to become a glider pilot and while I had the cash, I didn't have the time. I have built a balsa wood glider which turned out really good and I ended up selling at a hobby shop swap meet.
So I am going to enter this contest and build a glider. I'll post some pics along the way RC flying is a hobby that I could get very involved in… But I'm not. Will be interesting to see what a rubber band powered glider can do at my local schoolyard.

Inital cost can be a bit Heavy, But! Well worth it if you like the though of Flying. I have 9 from War Birds to ( STOL ) Cub with Tundra Wheels.
- Very nice Koots, and very tempting. But right now my hobby plate is totally full and I’m having a fun time. I had a neighbor in the past and he was part of a glider club and those guys did some incredible gliding in the Columbia River Gorge riding ridges. And these were radio control model gliders they were flying. Should be fun building this wood model and I’ll set the router for a very large circle. — AbbyNormal
- Also a big STOL fan — AbbyNormal
Was given this by a friend. Electronics and motor were all shot so I repowered it with a brushless setup, all new electronics and good transmitter, all for free dollars. I made it look like a banner towing plane like you see at the beach. It's a blast to fly
- Sweet! You can look for a plastic bottle for a Nose Cowl even heating in Hot water to form. — Bent_Rod_Racing
- Way cool love the big bush wheels — AbbyNormal
I'll pick up this kit either in February or March and have it completed by early summer. Pretty simple the wing has a little dihedral should fly pretty well.

When I was young I became pretty good at making paper airplanes. Had a book, each page was a different design. I still remember a few.

Good luck! Hope you do well.
I love when it has the Disclaimer: The FAC is not responsible for any dorked launches ...... That is funny. :-)
If this is ran by a rubberband, I wonder how far it could go off a sloped hill with a tiny little motor connected to the prop and a 9v battery? Would be interesting.
