Pile O' Cars
Does anybody else have a baking sheet with a pile of cars waiting for the drill and a citristrip bath? Please don't let me be the only one who has a mess like this.

SpyDude - I'm right there with you in regards to 5 gallon buckets and bins of cars, too. The baking sheet is just the pile of confirmed sacrifices to the racing/mod side of the sickne.....errr, hobby.
I thought I had the record for most unfinished builds. Have fun Mr. BadWool.

I have something like three buckets of "to be drilled" cars, 2 "wheel donor" buckets, and at least one "project cars" bucket. The other 20 are sorted into trucks, muscle/classic, JDM/import, fantasy, and service vehicles.
I originally started using bins, but quickly discovered that they were far too heavy to manuver and stack when loaded, more often than not collapsing the bottom bin or two. Once I moved to buckets, I found that I could stack them five high, and still be able to move them easily.

Look, we've all made some bad choices, sometimes it's every time you go to the store. So just own up to your short comings cuz I'm busy trying to figure out what to do with all these damn cars I have.
I really don't have many cars waiting to be drilled. I've got a lot of car parts sitting around though.
I have a couple of trays full of cars on my dresser that are waiting to be drilled. I usually sit and drill 10-20 cars at the same time.
years ago I bought out a whole warehouse of bins and hangers to use in my shop, (w/ tons of small and medium sized)
I use those across the back of the bench, with baggied up cars in various states of modding, or stock
so looking across the bench, I see
a bin of wheel harvest cars i need to do (wheel bag getting low)
large ziplock 1/3 full of virgin wheel/axles
an n scale dummy loco (fits orange track)
15 mini monster trucks, a 3d stargate that needs paint,
10 bags of "need to finish before starting a new project" cars, 2 motorcycles that need driving whiskers
a 200 gram '57 corvette that needs a new set of axles
bins of 1/87 scale details stuff (barrels, kegs, bottles,)
and my stack of brass/copper/steel, plastic,
as far as loose cars, I may have a bucket, maybe two, and my treasure chest full of new mainlines,
all suitable as race car stock.

- When I rearrange my work space I will better organize the loose materials like wheels and parts. Right now I put the plastic parts (chassis, windows, interiors) into those little drug dealer zip lock baggies from Walmart. Helps out especially when it is one of those castings without a name casted into the chassis. — BadWoolRacing
