I have started to unpack some of the cars that have arrived. Every vehicle so far, save for one of R-Lo's, needed minor repairs. No big deal.

Subtle but not unnoticed, is King Jester MotorWorks of Rhode Island. The deep growl of that bruisers engine really announces that King Jester and Royal Punchline have arrived.
If the growl doesn't warn you, we suspect the high pitched whine right before the BRRRRRRT'ing starts will be your last chance to pray.
Or eject.
We don't judge.

Crazy Canuck of White Nuckle Motoring Speed Shop arrived in Piston Junction this week. His truck, the Ford F150 Lightening called 'Rust & Dust' fits right in here, parked outside the Star Corps Industries regional headquarters.

The Canucks been enjoying the hospitality of the town and has even provided some wonderful wall murals for his team. Expect to see those around town! Many drivers want to see what his electrically powered truck can do on the rough roads of the Piston Junction Switchback!

Hot on the heels of Crazy Canuck, R-Lo Racings drivers have arrived! First, in a green deloreon called... There's no name for the car? We have to give it one...

Driving the Green Deloreon called R-loha Surprise, we have... IMPERATOR KAY! She's rough, rowdy and ready to put warheads on foreheads!

Also with her in the Chrome Acura NSX... Which we will name later, is IMMORTAN R-LO. So not become addicted to Speed, my friends, for Immortan R-lo looks like he's hoarding it all for himself.

His twin chain guns and missile launcher look Acura-te enough to do the job!

The Mysterious MrDarq Kuhn personally came to Piston Junction with his dark and broody team.

The Junction doesn't quite know what to make of him, but here's what I think...

* Sleeps in a Coffin.
* Only comes out at night.
* Snappy dresser.

I don't know about everyone else, but if I'm being honest, I think people should stock up on garlic and wooden stakes.

Cause we all know God abandoned the wastelands.

Poppa Pugsly from Manchild Motorsports has arrived in Piston Junction, and we have to admit we are glad he and his teammate Matt McDriver numbered their nearly identical vehicles.

We had to do a double take when they pulled to the Star Corps building in downtown Piston Junction...

Those cars look suspiciously well built and the fresh paint makes us wonder if there's another Corp playing in our backyard...

There is some big names in this race. Makes a new guy feel out of place. Excited to see how I stack up in my first race.

I am going to try and get something built for this race. I have some cars in progress to pick from.

I love how the race, the track, and the story(s) are weaving their way along

I'm pushing hard to have the track ready on time, but the weather is not cooperating. I may be late, but not much. Maybe a week or two. 

My second entry:

Car: Ash Rider

Driver: Evalynn Wheels

The 1971 MGB GT Coupe was first used as a stunt vehicle in Hollywood, CA, back when movies were still made. This was one of four vehicles used in the four movie trilogy. In the movies, this GT was named “Mr. Scott.”

This GT was the major stunt double (Or quadruple, in this case), and went through all the vigorous stunts. It has: Jumped 45+ feet three times, crashed through seven dry walled house sets, 73 feet of flaming road, two barrel jumps 15 feet high, countless ramp jumps, ect.

This was Stunt car #2. The first one failed tremendously after trying to do a simple drift in an empty parking lot. But was surprised when all the brakes went out. The car was going about 115 mph or so, took a sharp left, flipped over, and did countless rolls at an astonishing speed. It then went up in flames. The set’s fire crew handled the situation right away. When the smoke cleared and the show’s ‘Mr. Scott’ was on a transport trailer, you couldn’t tell that MGB from a Ford Pinto.

After that, our “Ash Rider” was brought in. It didn’t take all stunts too beautifully, especially the 45ft+ ramp jumps. But it was good enough for the camera. But it kept pushing on. Like torture. Not yet dead, but non stopping pain and damage. Which is what Ash Rider had to overcome. Wishing to be one of the hero cars. But now it has the pleasure of being a post-apocalyptic race car.

It was first sold to a collector in 1994, then to an anonymous buyer in 2037. And is now somehow in the possession of Evalynn Wheels, having absolutely no collection or historical value in our society.

Evalynn Wheels has made Ash Rider her lifelong pride and joy. Her and it have been on tracks all over, and just roaming the open sands. Evalynn and Rhoads have known each other from a previous race that she won, and her and Rhoads decided to go together as a team in the first Piston Junction race. And the names really sound good together, too.

With a name like “Evalynn Wheels,” how couldn’t you go into a life of racing.
