Hi guys!

My name is Rodrigo, I'm 30, I live in Sao Paulo - Brazil, and some years I am a collector of hot wheels, and down hill racer.

My nickname is a tribute to the design Optimus Transformers

Do not be surprised, because I do not speak English very well ... I use translation software to be able to communicate. So if something looks strange in my opinion, it may be a problem in translation!

I am part of the team DH Racer Br - and custom preparation.

We have our track, but do not use it already does more than one year.

DCR Action My friends who introduced me this site, I'm very happy to share the experience of you! It is a great pleasure!

Therefore, to show you that there are more people practicing down hill in the world ...

I already checked some tutorials. I found it very interesting! Many things we do differently here, starting with the increased weight of the cart. Here we cast in lead, the carts can weigh up to 500 g!

welcome ROD, glad to have you race with us...
i used to cast lead into the body, but the melting of lead is far more dangerous than just handling it...
the vapors from this are BAD ! ,looks like a '37 maisto..../ see you in lane two...

I do not know if you come to see the link to youtube that I left in the previous post, this cart is on track 2 from left to right! Cofer the damage it does!

We stop for a very thick foam made ??in the form of a garage. The minis come in and spread the impact, without flying off!

See, I think that other picture you can see better damping system:

In fact, I never used to shape the copper weight stroller. However, I know its temperature to a molten state is very high! I do not know if I could manusiar this material so easily ... in this case, it is easier to melt lead ... what can be done from home even on the stove!

I think the lead is even easier and safer to handle ... melting or not!

copper sheets, no-melting, cut to fit with shears glue in layers...

Now I understand ... sorry model40fan!

But is that copper is denser than lead? Because I have never used this stuff!

I think you need more sheets of copper to achieve the same result ...

YES SIR,
BUT AT < 113 AND < 35 GRAMS, COPPER, OR BRASS [ EASIER TO FIND IN SHEETS ] SHOULD BE HEAVY ENOUGH...

Really ... had not thought of brass! I think it is strong enough and far more easy to find ... Furthermore, the cost is also lower!

As for my team, I will soon post some pictures! The photos I have of her are old and not well focused!

I bought a better camera soon. I will make new fotas and put there on the topic of customization!

As a married two months, my new house is still with little furniture, so do not even brought them back here. They are in my mother's house. But soon come, as I miss you!

).

EconoCarl Hello! Nice to meet you!

So ... I'll be better informed so as to Fantasy League ... I am amazed with so much information and I'm still exploring this site! We have something in Brazil!

My intention, moreover, was to participate in contests with my own team!

Obviously, it is very expensive for me to go to the USA, and complicated by issues of visa, but would be much simpler to send mail via my cars ... after the races somebody give back!

Something that can be studied ...
