The Race Into Spring mail-in tournament!
Brought to you by Austin Diecast Drags and Redline Derby Racing

This is a mail-in tournament for all of you diecast racers out there.
Austin Diecast Drags will be hosting the event on it’s 25’ long track.

TO REGISTER
Fill out the registration form linked below and then mail in your cars
https://spreadsheets.google.com/viewfor ... Y01FM0E6MQ

CLASSES AND RESTRICTIONS
Will be running Stock and Modified classes.
Stock is open to all brands of cars, unmodified. Dry graphite is allowed.
Modified is an open event, bring it on! Weight, wheels, etc. No propulsion devices please! There is a height limit of 2.5”.

Each player is allowed to enter two cars into each event, the more cars...the more racing!

PRIZES
Prizes for the Winner and Runner-up in the two classes.
If you're a Redline Derby Fantasy League player, you will also receive a limited license plate trophy.

BONUS LOTTERY RACE
Each participant to mail in cars will be assigned a number and that number put into a drawing.
The bonus race will be brand new Hot Wheels still in the package, one for each entry. I will assign a number to each car and then draw the numbers out of a box...I will then race the cars and the winner of the races gets to keep all of the cars!
Does that make sense? So if 8 of you send in cars, there will be 8 cars in the race, winner gets all 8 cars. Bingo!

DEADLINE
All entries must be received no later than March 4th, race will be held on that weekend of the March 5th and 6th.

The race will be held indoors and will be documented via photos and video. My races are run just like my events here in Austin...best of 3, each car gets a run down each lane. Cars will be selected at random for the bracket, but a players car will not run against their own car on the first round at least.

RETURN SHIPPING
Return postage is paid for, will be sent via USPS Priority Mail…you will get your cars and prizes sent back to you for free!
As the host and track owner, I will not be racing in the event.

I'm in for both classes and 2 cars each class. Maining out Monday morning. So, what are the prizes?

Do the stock cars we send in have to be in the package to qualify?

No, can be anything from your collection, as long as it's not been changed from stock in anyway

They don't have to be carded? Hehe....excellent...and y'all better watch out 'cause I'm sending in the Testarossa and Land Rover to whoop up. ...but then I'll get beat up in the mod class because I suck at modding.

That's what I'm wanting...everyone to send in the fastest cars they have...big showdown at the ADD corral!

Trusting the Us Postal Office with my fastest cars....not so sure about that. Tough decision.

Then send your second fastest cars! I have never had anything that I sent USPS Priority with Delivery Confirmation lost in the mail...and I've sold ALOT of car and bike parts on ebay over the years. I'd trust it...I'm hoping you all will as well.

If still in doubt...insure it...about 75 cents last time I checked.

This is going to be some intense racing! It is a tough decision on what cars to send in. I know all tracks are different so the fastest cars on my track might not do as well on another, but I guess that's what makes it so interesting.
Hey Brian, I thought those cars were retired!

Haha...they were retired from the Fantasy League only, live events not withstanding.

What's the problem, scared?

BTW, should also mention a reminder to use the registration form to help us stay more organized with cars and names and stuff. Thanks.

I'll give you my track set up specs if you want...I think it's on my website somewhere as well.

25' long start to finish line. 3' drop in 6', then 1" drop over next 6' then it's flat to the finish.

Still have yet to set up my 50' track, hoping to do that locally here soon...

Since I'm not officially racing, I will have to try out some of my cars against the winners just to see how I hold up in competition!

Bike parts? I dont suppose you do bike racing as well? The Lago Vista bike race is that weekend. If I were in racing shape this year, I could come down and join in the festivities.
