Racecar Build (In Progress)
I started out with the idea of this being a Featherweight car, but it quickly became too heavy. This is where it stands.

Yes, I think that's the direction I'm headed.
GOOLZ WANTED A BONE SHAKER TRU, WONDERED WHY, CHECKED THE PIX ON MEPAY... I CUT A ROOF SECTION FROM A SCHOOL BUS, [NOT THAT ONE] AND FILED IT TO FIT AS THE SHAKER'S INSERT... PLUMBER'S PUTTIED THE QUARTER WINDOWS, COWL TOP AND A SHELF TO SET THE INSERT ON...
AND I JUST HAD TO, CUT OFF THE HOOD, THEN I RESHAPED A "J.L. '31 CADDY CABBIE" HOOD TO BETTER MATCH THE SHAKER'S COWL........ GRILL, BASE AND BEDWARE CHOICES T.B.D.

Sanding and filling. Sanding and filling.
This is the first time I've done such an extensive modification. I'm learning that you can spend an enormous amout of time trying to get the body "perfect", and along they way I've started to wonder if it can be perfect. I'm figuring out the tools to use along the way. I've decided that this is a race car and not a show car...the weather here has been to cold to paint, but I did a first coat/sand then a second coat/sand. Things seem to be getting worse. I'm just gonna keep going forward and make this thing go fast and not pretty.
I'm liking the color scheme, with matching tires and all.
Wow!! It was very beautiful ... I enjoyed the choice of front and rear, as so many different things can combine so well!!
You will use it in races?? If you accept a little hint ...... try putting the front wheels equals the rear, you'll get more speed ......
You have done well, I liked it very much ...... I think I'll end up doing the same one for me .....
You could build a fleet for the next Hardcore Downhill Series.
