Racing video games, who plays?

I know it doesn't have to do with die-cast cars, but I'm curious--does anyone else on here play Mariokart, Split/Second, or Need for Speed Rivals online?

I play Split/Second too! Do you play on Xbox?

NH--it's been a while!

I play it on PS3. Those would be the same network, though, right?

Dude...I'm into this. I play Forza 3 & 4, Need for Speed "Shift", Race Driver Grid, Project Gotham Racing 4, Dirt 2...this is Cool! Xbox360, my gamer tag is "Racing F4ver".

PC wise, the best racing game out there is RFactor. Never heard of it? Do a search on you tube. Any type of full scale racing that you can think of and many many racing surfaces, have been created through Mods. These mods are free and there are free online racing leagues. No spending money on XBox Live! This game is the choice of many NASCAR drivers to get in some extra “practice” time. Got to see Landon Cassill's setup once--Amazing! Three huge screens wrapped around him, cockpit with the pedals and wheel.

Going Back--

Ratbag Dirt Track Racing Series--Nothing like slinging a Sprint Car or Dirt Late Model through the turns at Eldora or Knoxville (just down the road from me). Great games for network racing.

NASCAR 2003-At one point, after they stopped making this game, you couldn't find it for under $100 online. Why? You could and still can customize everything with it and the ability to race online for free and also great for network racing.

Grand Prix World Circuit Series--First game I played online with a 2400 baud modem. My friend and I would stay up all night racing full length F1 races. This was before they had steering wheel setups. He came up with a joy stick that was just a turnable knob that allowed him to turn into and drive out of the turns more efficiently.

I haven't turned on my 360 in more than a year (seems a new baby has a way of killing free time, canceled my Live account too).

But Split/Second was a favorite of mine. I'm much more of an arcade racer than a pure sim-style. I was into the rally titles too, like Dirt. Played Blur for a while too. Despite it not being based on real cars, Ridge Racer is a favorite simply because I had some of the early titles in college and got hooked. Played some old PGR titles too.

Of course, nothing beats some good ol' RC Pro-Am racing! ha!

Split/Second seems like one of the RLD favorites...we ought to make a night of it sometime.

Blur and Grid--LOVE those games. Completed Blur a while ago, never quite finished Grid but haven't played it in a while. I also have Dirt3, but haven't played it as much as I should. Another old favorite's Need for Speed Carbon. A little newer than that, Gran Tourismo 5. I only have Shift on my iPhone, though.

ISC, that sounds COOL! I don't play many PC racing games, but I want to try that. However, I did play Tracksters (that one with the Jada cars) for a time...before they apparently closed up shop.

Good idea! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IN8DDPEUWOg

I love racing video games. Of them all, I got really into Blur, racing online. I was literally addicted! I was running in the top of the online leaderboards for some time too, until I realized how unhealthy it was for me. Blur has to be my favorite out there thus far. I love that 20 people can race at once and the mayhem is just insane!

You can play Blur online? That sounds fun--I'll have to try that.

I know about getting too hooked on games--I was that way with NFS Rivals...up till Ash Wednesday. Either thankfully or unfortunately, I gave up driving video games for Lent--so I will e back on after Easter.

I own a Xbox 360 and a Xbox One. I have Forza 4 for the 360 and a wheel for racing. If They ever come out with a decent wheel for the Xbox One, I will grab Forza 5. I can not race without a wheel.

Cool...but right now I do not have "Gold Membership"...don't want to spend the extra money.
