Rookie - Just Wanted To Say Hi

Hi,
Having followed die-cast racing for quite a while and reading a lot of topics on this site, I joined and just wanted to say hi.
I am setting up a die-cast racing series here in the U.K. and much of the information and resources here are helping me with that.
I have previously set up events and raced in other spheres, such as Scalextric etc, and having worked in motor racing and an enjoyment of producing content die-cast racing appears to be the perfect fit for me now.
Especially as our new house comes with my own outside "play-room" which I am hastily working on so the track can be constructed. I look forward to maybe talking to many of you, not just those from the U.K.

Welcome! I believe a member named RalphsRacers is in the UK. Might want to reach out to him.
Good luck with your race series!

Hiya,
I'm in Bedfordshire. Good to see a fellow Brit getting involved. Id happily send some cars your way once you're all set. Have you seen XR diecast? they are based in UK too.
- Hi RamRaid, really great to meet you. I used to live in Hertfordshire so not far at that time. Work in progress at the minute. Got the base down, the rest is going up as we speak, then the modelling and scenery. Look forward to talking to you and most definitely will take any entries once we are all set up. — DiecastRacingNews
- Just checking out XR Diecast now. — DiecastRacingNews
- we like building vids, too! — dr_dodge

Welcome Gauntlet! You will find that everyone here is both very knowledgeable and helpful. If you haven't already, check out the website there is a lot of good information here on everything.
- Thank you, appreciate it. Been checking it out for a while, been very helpful. — DiecastRacingNews
Hey there! Welcome to RedlineDerby! As you have heard already.....people are friendly and helpful around here. Always great to see another racer around. We're all excited to see some track building photos/progress. Share some pictures in a track building post if you will.

- agree, love the builds as much as racin' — dr_dodge
- Hi Dutch, thank you for the welcome. I most certainly will and this will begin in earnest, once the 24 Hours of Le Mans is out the way. — DiecastRacingNews
Welcome from one rookie to another, and I'm a junkie for the archives around here, as there is so much information to glean and dissect. Good luck in your diecast endeavors.
Welcome to Redline!
Cheers, Good luck !
In case I miss any other lovely welcome messages, I will do my best to reply to your comments but I am currently in the midst of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, so if I do not reply straight away, my apologies but I will get to it.
As an addtion, as Dutch did mention it, my plan is to share the story of the track build and there is a lot of work to do as I've nailed myself to a January 2026 start date for the series. I hope to keep you all updated, once I've finished some base prep, struts and sourcing the track and accessories from the links I have.
Again, thank you so much for the welcomes, it is really appreciated.
Welcome! Good luck at the 24 Hours of Le Mans! I am looking forward to seeing your track build progress. Someday I would like to build a track, but that is a ways out, it ever.
- Was a dream for me also, until we bought our house last year which had an outside cabin. Which I took ownership of. — DiecastRacingNews
