Sanding wheels without opening the car

SteelCityMafia895 Friday, 1/5/2024

I'm fairly new to the racing side of Hot Wheels. I have a race I'd like to enter where sanding wheels is allowed but the car can not be opened up. Any suggestions on how to do this would be appreciated.

  • well explained! — Stoopid_Fish_Racing
  • Excelent Videos! I find Brandon at Scale Racing's method works best for me. Also hobby Lobby carries 320- 12000 grits sand paper packs for 7 bucks that are just the perfect size and so far 1 has lasted me over a year. Do you find sanding beyond 6-800 grit improves performance? read on a pinewood derby site that it did not but curious to hear others perspectives. I have not seen a difference beyond 600 grit, I usually start at 400 and that typically will make the biggest improvement. often 10-20 thousands on my home track — Milestone_Racing
  • I go up to 2000 grit. I find it to help. Might be minor but you take anything you can get when chasing thousanths of a second — BlueLineRacing
  • Thanks BlueLine. Gonna give these a watch and see what I can learn. — SteelCityMafia895
  • Yep, cheers BLR, they are great vids I have saved long time ago. — CutRock_R_Marc_D
