The next rung in the weight segment ladder, cars fitting in the 51.0-62.9 gram category.

Maximum of 2 cars per racer. $10 covers entry fee and return shipping for both (mostly for return shipping).
Max of 2 racers per household. Additional $10 fee for additional household racer.

If you are sending from outside the USA, please leave me contact info so I can give you a return postage quote.

Please be sure to include a completed Redlinederby.com entry form.

You can send in a car lighter than 51.0g, but no heavier than 62.9g. I ask not to resend any cars that have previously been run in the weight class racing at this channel.

Why 62.9g? Well, it keeps cars like the Johnny Lightning 69 Camaro and some other standard chassis cars seperated from the Funny Cars and semis.

Race format and scoring

This will be a single-elimination tournament. Rocket rules apply: fastest pass after lane swaps will advance the car to the next round. Timing resolution 1/1000s.

We will refer to the slow pass times to break any fast pass ties. In case of slow AND fast pass ties, cars will be rerun.

The car that wins the final race, best 3 out of 5, will be declared the winner. Race host has final decision in all races.

Bracket seeding will be based on a random number generator.

Penalties/DNF

Cars are given NO grace over the stated weight limit. If your car weighs 62.9g on your scale, then you are taking the risk of not passing tech. Overweight cars will NOT compete.

If a car fails to meet any of the other restrictions listed above, the car will not be allowed to compete.

Cars that arrive broken will attempt to be minimally repaired before the racing begins. Cars that break during racing will not be repaired or replaced.

Prizes

2023 Light Heavyweight lighted trophy.
And bragging rights, of course.
Plus any entries that are marked as "non return" on the entry slip.
