Second Track

tnfishdaddy Wednesday, 4/30/2014

Before I got my aluminum ramp, I had started building a wooden ramp like others have built. It is four foot high and the ramp is six feet long. Smitty sent me a little suprise the other day and now I have the makings of a second track. I need some more track but for now, here she is.

Thanks a bunch Smitty!

Works great. My son has claimed it as his own. Went and picked up some more track last night. Still need to clean the basement up so we have more room.

Alright, we decided to take this track and run it outside on our front porch. Using every piece of track we own, the total length of the track today was 42 feet. We had 30-40 mph gusts today so keeping the track in one place was a nightmare. We took a basket of cars out and ran them off against each other. Excuse the crooked track but if we had to fix it once, we had to fix it 50 times today. The wind was a nightmare.

These are the winners from the original 28 that we ran. The final winner was the white RX-7 with the 27 on the hood. If you are interested, here is a very bad video of some of the races. towards the end, you can see the wind mess the track up. We dealt with this all day.

Whoops. Don't use YT much so this may take a little getting use to. Try it now and let me know if that unlocked it.

No, I did not run the cars backwards. Most of our time was spent fixing the track.

  • Hard to fight strong wind - I was just ribbing you because the arrow track is pointing backwards - not that it makes a difference! ;) — Milton-Fox
  • Lol that's what happens when you let the kids set things up. — tnfishdaddy
